To study online with Australian Online Courses you will need a computer (desktop PC/laptop) running a current/updated operating system with reliable high-speed internet access. You will also need basic computer skills, such as typing, knowledge of how to navigate the Internet and be able to use word processing programs. There are no special software requirements and everything you need to complete the course is provided online via your elearning system.

Please note that we recommend the Chrome browser to access your course. If you do not have chrome, please go to https://www.google.com.au/chrome/ to download.

When you are enrolled into a course with multiple units, you have the flexibility to choose the order in which you complete them. You can also work through your units concurrently if you wish.

Assessment will be comprised of written assignments and exercises, including short answer questions, reports, essays, research projects and reflective tasks. There are no examinations or due dates for assessment. As a result, you can complete training in your own time and at your own pace with the assistance of unlimited tutor support.

Reference lists are created to allow readers to locate original sources themselves. Each citation in a reference list includes various pieces of information including the:

  1. Name of the author(s)
  2. Year published
  3. Title
  4. City published
  5. Publisher
  6. Pages used

Please use the following Harvard Reference style in your assignments.

  • Last name, First Initial. (Year published). Title. City: Publisher, Page(s).

No in-text referencing is required.

After successfully submitting your enrolment via our website you will be given online access to your course upon receipt of your full payment.  Enrolment processing times will vary with your payment method.

Credit card: 60 minutes within business hours. Outside business hours 2-24 hours.

BPAY: Within two (2) working days.

Internet Banking: Within two (2) working days.

Cheque/Money Order: Within ten (10) working days.

You can start within 60 minutes during business hours when you enrol and pay in full with a credit card!

There are no course or subject pre-requisites for entry into our programs. However, our professional development programs are generally intended for people over the age of 18. In some circumstances, enrolments from younger people may be considered. Please complete the AOC Parent Guardian Consent Form prior to enrolling and submit here.

 

Yes! Because we offer unlimited elearning access, you can take a break whenever you like!

No. Everything that you need to complete the course is provided online for your convenience. However, optional hard copy versions of the online materials are available for purchase. Please contact us to request a quote.

Participants who have undertaken previous study at another training organisation may be eligible to receive exemptions from units. All Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications must be accompanied by suitable documentary evidence of previous study (eg. transcripts). Previous studies must have been completed within the past 5 years, with credit available up to a maximum of 50% of the units in your nominated course.

If you require assistance with the course materials and need a concept explained further, please email  with your query and your tutor will respond promptly and personally. Your assigned tutor will guide you through the course materials, help you with any problems and provide feedback on your assignments.

In order to successfully complete the course, you will need to complete all of of the assignments. We use a competency-based assessment; if you do not receive a ‘Competent/Pass’ grade you will be asked to resubmit your assignment. You are able to submit your work for marking three (3) times only. If you do not pass your assignment on the third attempt, you will need to re-enrol into the unit (charges apply).

No. Our courses are assessed via written exercises and assignments and all assignments are submitted online via our elearning system. There are no on-campus requirements for our students.

Yes. Our courses are delivered completely online via our elearning system. There are no on campus or work placements required.

Course materials are supplied in an online environment. Unless otherwise stated in the course description, course materials are available for viewing online and may not be downloaded. Hard copy versions are available for purchase upon request. Please contact us for a quote for printed materials.

Many of our students have acquired funding through an employment/job services provider. Please contact your provider for more information about funding opportunities and eligibility.

Once we have received your scanned health care card, you will be issued with a discount code.

Overseas students will have access to the same level of support that students in Australia enjoy, including unlimited Tutor Support.

You will need a competent level of English to complete your course with Australian Online Courses. If you need further information about your English language competency, please contact us.

Yes! You will receive a Certificate of Attainment upon successful completion of your assessment. Please ensure that you register to graduate once you have completed your final assessment.

Occasionally due to routine maintenance, our elearning website may not be available. However, we aim to keep interruptions to a minimum.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please contact us. 

Occasionally students are unable to view PDF files on Apple Mac and iPads. This is a common problem with Apple products and there are several steps you can take to fix this problem.

  1. Update your version of Adobe Reader.
  2. Configure your computer/device to open Adobe Reader.
  3. Right click on the file and save to a location on your computer. Navigate to the location where you saved the file to open the PDF.

If you get stuck with an assignment or have a question relating to the materials, your tutors are available to provide guidance and feedback. You can contact them via our website, or via email. Tutors will respond to all enquiries ASAP and are available during business hours. For urgent after hours help, please contact us.
